Goal

Fill every empty cell with a number so that each connected group of N cells contains exactly the number N.

How to Play

  • Tap an empty cell to select it
  • Use the number keypad below to enter a value
  • Pre-filled numbers (clues) cannot be changed

Core Rule 1: Group Size = Number

A connected group of the same number must contain exactly that many cells. For example, three 3s connected orthogonally form a valid group.

333OK
33= 2 cellsNG

Core Rule 2: No Same-Number Adjacent Groups

Two different groups of the same number cannot be orthogonally adjacent. Same-number groups must always be separated.

122OK
2222NG

Completed Example

  • Every cell must be filled with a number
  • A connected group of number N must contain exactly N cells
  • Different groups of the same number cannot be orthogonally adjacent
3322312133223222

Tip

  • Start near the clue numbers — their placement limits possible directions, making them easier to resolve
  • The number 1 must always be a single isolated cell. It cannot connect to any adjacent cell with the same number
  • For larger numbers (4, 5, 6), first assess the available space where the group can expand

Fillomino-style region partition puzzles train spatial reasoning, constraint satisfaction, and working memory simultaneously. Research shows that multi-constraint puzzles are effective at improving cognitive flexibility and executive function.
