Hidden Pairs· Advanced

Goal

How to Play

  • Tap the first cell to select it (blue outline)
  • Tap a matching cell to clear the pair
  • A mismatch flashes red and adds a 3-second penalty

Completed Example

Tip

  • Scan broadly by color first, then compare shapes within the same color
  • Mentally rule out cells you've already checked and shift attention to fresh areas

Hidden Pairs is a conjunction search task grounded in Feature Integration Theory. Finding matches that share both color and shape demands selective attention and a target template in working memory.
