Goal

Fill the entire grid with non-overlapping rectangles. Each rectangle must contain exactly one number.

Rules

  • Drag to draw a rectangle on the grid
  • Each rectangle must contain exactly one number
  • The number represents the area (cell count) of its rectangle
  • Rectangles cannot overlap, and every cell must be covered

Tip

  • Start with small clues (2, 3) — they have fewer possible placements and are easier to determine
  • Prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7) have limited shape options, making them easier to place

Spatial partitioning puzzles train visuospatial working memory, mental rotation, and constraint satisfaction abilities. Research shows spatial skills are trainable and improvements transfer to other cognitive domains.
